Christmas Lighting For The Fun Of It
Although I have been decorating much longer, 2009 was the first year I put up a computerized light show. I didn't use the carousel in the first year, but the Ferris Wheel was there. I only had 16-channels that year and, as you can see, not a whole lot of lights. I guess you have to start somewhere.
I reached the pinnacle during the 2012 season with something in excess of 30,000 lights. Since then I have started lowering the light count, but the channel count has been skyrocketing due to the RGB pixels. We'll see where it all ends..

Solvang, CA
Note: My display is very close to the hospital. Just follow the blue signs.
Solvang, with its roots going back to the original Danish settlers, is a small community in the Santa Ynez Valley. One of the many interesting events in Solvang for me is the celebration of Christmas. There are lots of lights, parades, and decorations, so it really gets me into the spirit to setup my display. Solvang was selected by Time Magazine as one of "The 9 Most Christmassy Towns In America" and I like to participate in helping our community live up to this title. For more information click here."
